Orion Living Campus Installation Day 2

Come help install a new Living Campus outdoor classroom and garden at Orion Elementary school. This is the second of three installation Days. This workday will include some heavy lifting but lighter tasks are available; ages 5+. Don't forget to bring a water bottle, a mask, and gloves if you have them! 

Tasks will include: 

• measuing and cutting wood for raised beds

• building new raised beds

• adding soil and compost to new beds

• weeding any existing areas

• digging holes for fruit trees and planting 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers must observe the following guidelines:

• All volunteers - including children - must wear masks at all times.  Please bring your own masks, gloves, and water bottles.

• To assure compliance with social-distancing and sanitation requirements, all volunteers for this event must be able to comply at all times with social-distancing and mask requirements.

• If you have experienced ANY symptoms of illness in the last 14 days, or if you have had contact with anyone experiencing these symptoms within the last 14 days, please do NOT attend any EGC work event.  Symptoms include, but are not limited to, chills, fever, fatigue, sore throat, muscle soreness, loss of sense of smell, vomiting, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and/or coughing.

• If within the last 14 days you have come into close contact with anyone who has since tested positive for COVID-19, please do NOT attend any EGC work event prior to obtaining two negative COVID-19 tests spaced two days apart.
