CANCELLED March 24th San Carlos Farmers' Market

Help staff EGC's information and donation booth at the San Carlos Farmers' Market! Share information to market-goers about Each Green Corner and our mission.

Explain how they can donate produce to their local food bank by purchasing a little extra produce from the other farmers’ market vendors and donating it at EGC's booth.

There are two time slots. The morning one runs from 8:30AM to 11:00AM, and the afternoon one is from 11:00AM to 1:45PM. 

Morning shift tasks: Meet our site lead at the San Carlos Farmer's Market at 8:30, the EGC booth will be set up on Laurel St. between San Carlos Ave and Cherry St. Set up EGC's booth, including setting up posters and handing out flyers to the vendors. During the shift, you will explain to visitors/people walking by that we are a nonprofit organization collecting produce to donate to Samaritan House Food Pantry. They can purchase a little extra produce from the other farmers’ market vendors and drop it by our booth. You will also weigh donated produce and keep the goal posters updated and run a fun game for kids to win garden-themed prizes!

Afternoon shift tasks: During the shift, you will explain to visitors/people walking by that we are a nonprofit organization collecting produce to donate to Samaritan House Food Pantry. They can purchase a little extra produce from the other farmers’ market vendors and drop it by our booth. You will also weigh donated produce and keep the goal posters updated as well as running a fun game for kids to win garden-themed prizes! At the end of the market breakdown EGC's booth, including taking down posters and collecting flyers from the vendors. We may ask you to help return supplies to the shed (2010 San Carlos Ave, San Carlos 94070) or to drop produce off at Samaritan House (4031 Pacific Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94403).
