CANCELLED - Tierra Linda & Mariposa Living Campus - Outdoor Classroom Final Installation Event

*****Unfortunately due to the escalation of the COVID pandemic, we are suspending our open volunteer events through January 2021.***** 

Our Living Campus outdoor classrooms are almost complete - come help us finish off our lists to prepare Tierra Linda and Mariposa for the students' return!  We will start at 9 a.m. and work until our tasks are complete (estimated 12:30/1:00 p.m.).  Our Living Campus work days have tasks appropriate for registered volunteers age 5 and up!

Please bring your mask, water bottle, work glove, shovel, and a circular saw or power drill (ideally battery operated) if you have them.  See below for COVID safety protocols.

Tasks will include:

• Plant trees
• Finish 3-bin compost system
• Finish Mariposa raised beds
• Build doors and roof for white board
• Move soil and plant winter veggies
• Plant winter gardens
• General campus pruning and clean up

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that all volunteers observe the following guidelines:

• All volunteers - including children - must wear masks at all times.  Please bring your own masks, gloves, and water bottles.

• To assure compliance with social-distancing and sanitation requirements, all volunteers for this event must be able to comply at all times with social-distancing and mask requirements.

• If you have experienced ANY symptoms of illness in the last 14 days, or if you have had contact with anyone experiencing these symptoms within the last 14 days, please do NOT attend any EGC work event.  Symptoms include, but are not limited to, chills, fever, fatigue, sore throat, muscle soreness, loss of sense of smell, vomiting, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and/or coughing.

• If within the last 14 days you have come into close contact with anyone who has since tested positive for COVID-19, please do NOT attend any EGC work event prior to obtaining two negative COVID-19 tests spaced two days apart.

• Restrooms WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE during this event.
